A while back I read about a woman who died from using Imitrex injections for migraines. Seems she had an underlying heart condition. My doctor told me that tightness in the chest was a common side effect but it did not happen to me. I actually just used it for the first time last week for migraines and it worked like a dream.
For clusters I have used many things but oxygen was what I used last time and plan to next time. I was surprised to see that in the information packet that Imitrex is officially used for both migraine and cluster.
To me it still boils down to whatever works for you with the least side effects and without doing any true harm to your health. This forum is great for finding out how others have done with various medications and interventions!
