True. And all that kaleidoscopic stuff that you see is made up of phodphenes. Also, in my case, a phosphene attack in my right eye interferes with seeing through my left eye. Normally, you have a problem with one eye and the other one just takes over. This doesn’t happen. My brain keeps trying to see through both eyes and I’m like kind of temporarily blind. I can see well enough to keep from walking into trees or walls, but I can’t read, watch TV, or anything like that. And, sometimes, an attack lasts for 45 minutes, which makes it a pain in the ass, but it’s totally painless and happens only very rarely.
