I experienced some angina years ago, and learned that Imitrex (or zomig, maxalt, amerge, etc...) constricts the coronary arteries as well as the ones in our heads that hurt so bad. Thus, if you are already predisposed (got some blockage), these drugs can aggravate the low blood flow or even precipitate a heart attack.
Best to get it checked out. My blockage wasn't seen as severe, and after about 5 years of watching the fatty foods and cholesterol, I don't have any side effects at all.
