Hi Linda...I know what you mean about your children seeing you in pain. I have 4 kids under 10, and it breaks my heart that they have to see me, writhing in pain,& sobbing like a baby. But, you know what, they will, I hope, grow up with compassion and understanding - something that isn't really taught at school. My little 2 1/2 year old runs and gets me a washcloth (it's dry, she doesn't know it normally has ice in it!!)and sits by me, almost as if to protect me. My two older children, drop everything, to standby and help, and my five year old gently touches my head. Sometimes, I wish they'd all go away ( I know that sounds unkind)as I am a different person while the beast is in residance. I just hope & pray that none of them ever have CH. Don't get me wrong, my kids can all be rotten, and I sometimes wonder where their behaviour comes from, but my CH's have shown me, that they will go into their adult life, armed with sympathy, understanding& love. To be able to pull a glimmer of hope out of ashes of these evil & cruel headaches, puts a glimmer of hope in my darkest hours. Judi
