I am currently taking Nifedipine (I think it's also called procardia), a calcium channel blocker. It seems to be working (at 60 mg, once per day), but it's hard to tell. Since I upped the does from 30 to 60 two weeks ago, I have woken up with a headache only four times. Each time was very mild. The first two were easily cured with oxygen. The second two were so mild, I just went back to sleep. Thus, either (a) the medication is working and lessening the impact of the headache, or (b) I'm in a non-CH part of the cycle. Either way, I'm satisfied for the momoent. By the way, I still feel Ch precursors -- congestion, tight neck, pressure at the temple, watery eye -- so I don't think I'm in a non-CH period.
I'd like to hear more about your calcium channel blocker -- what kind? dose? etc.
