I completely agree that there is absolutely no connection between abuse and cluster headaches. My parents were very loving parents, and to this day my mother researches just about anything she can find to help me with my cluster headaces. Other than my wife, my mother is the only other person in my life that understands what I go through, and trys to help find a solution to the pain. Your doc is grabbing at straws, and is really in need of a session with a neurologist to get a better understanding of cluster headaches. Please get the appropriate help, see a doctor who knows what cluster headaces are. Remember only 66 out of 100,000 people get these things, very few doctors have actually had a patient with cluster headaches. There is a lot of doctors who know nothing of them or how to treat them.
