Thanks to everyone for the input on the fiorinal w/ codeine question...I definitely agree with the consensus opinion that it provides almost no relief for these headaches. In fact, I'm now sure that when they do subside it is due to nothing more than the headaches having run their cycle. I'm sure this is a familiar refrain, but I've learned more about CH in the past two days than I have in the previous 15 years. I just hope I haven't trashed my liver from the thousands of Excedrin X-Strength, Tylenol Sinus and various other pills I've swallowed over that time.
Also, thanks to Linda for the info on the potential cervical spine connection...I'm going to explore that further.
Lastly, any thoughts on a first choice as an alternative to Fiorinal? So far, Imitrex and Verapamil look to be the most successful options.
