Strong stuff. I have a bi-polar maniac personality
and they wanted to put me on that stuff. But
that is pretty extreme. I went on Dapokote instead
and last year I suffered NO CLUSTERS because it
does have a side affect of no attacks. But these
are drugs only given for other reasons - not to
treat clusters. Side affects are bad. I lost
my hair, but it did grow back. Now I'm off all
anti-depresants and unfortunately suffering, but
my neuro said maybe next year he'll try Dapokote
again but add an ZINC drug which is too keep hair
loss from happening. In my groups for bi-polor
all I know is that Lithium is a hell of a drug
and the patients lives made more sense on 1000 mg
of Dapokote. It did keep clusters away too.
I've taken Prozac, Colonpin, and Risperadol too.
And they all did less the clusters power in my
head. Very very light attacks. Now I'm on my
4th week of Verapamil and I'm happy although I'm
experiencing numbness in my left side. Good luck
on Lithium - ask about switching to Dapokote.
1000 mg is considered light dosage but affective.
Oh - but don't drink booze at all on this drug.
