Kevin,
I had a similiar problem. My pharmacist told me I was taking too many Imitrex (81) in a months time and went so far as to call my doctor and now the doctor will not treat my headaches. His nurse had been great to call the insurance and explain my medical situation to them and they agreed to give a special code so I could get my pills. Today I went to the new pharmacist and he not only called my ex doctor and got some pills ok'd from him, but called the insurance company and got my 81 Imietrex ok'd for every month. What a gem of a guy. He made a preciously bad situation into a good situation for me. It all depends on how willing your doctor, and pharmacist are to go to bat for you. Just in time to as the beast hit me last night and is throwing bricks into the side of my head today. Took the imitrex tho and it has done very little so far. That is a first on that pill. I wish you luck. You may have to get someone to help you with those calls. Another thing I heard him tell was the dose of 3 Imitrex a day is not too much according to the pharmaceutical company. 30 dayX 3 = 90, and I wanted 81.
