In general, my cluster attacks come out of nowhere and end out on nowhere. That is, there’s no warning of either the bginning or of the end. At 11:30 p.m., I’m suddenly awakened by the usual indescribable agony. At 6:55 a.m., the attack quits, just like that. Then I feel very, very good and, sometimes, very, very sleepy. If I’m not sleepy, I generally feel so good that I can put in a normal day’s work, despite the lack of sleep. If I’m sleepy, I’m lucky if I can make it back to bed - my thing is to sit on the edge of my chair and rock, groan, etc. - before passing out. But, I’ve never worried about this. I just consider it to be one of those cluster things. And I’ve had cluster attacks for 43 years.
