I had good results with Prednizone but had some
side effects that were not great, I gained 10
pounds in 2 weeks and my face went round and I ate
like a pig.I think i only slept 3-4 hrs a night
The worst side effect was anger,I am normally very
easy going but I went into fits of rage that
scared me. It was almost uncontrolable. 3 days
after I started to taper off the prednizone the
attacks started again so was only a temporary
relief. My last bout lasted almost 6 months and
the only drug that gave me relief was Imatrex
injections. On more than one occasion I know that
I took more than what is recommended but I was in susc
such bad shape I didnt care ,For my next bout I
plan on trying the suggestion I read somewhere
here that you only use 1/2 of the injection for
each attack,it sound like a reasonable plan if 1/2
of a dose will stop it. I was in an expermential
drug program using a drug called ZIMItriptine
from England and it was in a pill form and worked
after 1/2 hr but not quick enough.
