Took 80 mg of prednisone to combat ITP for several months. Also deteriorated both hips with necrosis. At 32 years of age opted not to have hip replacements, instead had core decompressions. . . That was 10 years ago. Cannot report painless days, but a situation I have definitely been able to LIVE with. ITP went into complete remission never to reocurr again. Prednisone did not cure the ITP, but left me with a sever impairment. Sorry
