I, too, get both kinds of headaches. Ever since I found this site I have gotten so much information and support after years of suffering alone. And I do tend to agree with those who have said that the term "headache" doesn't adequately describe a cluster! But believe me migraines are no fun in a different way.
I guess my main feeling all along has been that if people feel free to post about their experiences (and yes I agree that the focus should be clusters) that we will help each other immensely. I, for instance, have read about others who get migraines during the day and clusters at night like I often do. This is important information to help me know that I am not imagining things! And if I talk about the hormonal migraines I get the rest of the year, maybe there are others out there who have the same thing. Is there a connection to the clusters? Does using an abortive method for the clusters cause the migraines? Has anyone studied the connections between clusters and migraines? Is it just a coincidence that I have the misfortune to get both or is there some true physical connection??? If we don't talk about this stuff among our fellow sufferers how will we ever start getting some kind of answers! I don't have time to read all the posts anymore but I read the ones that seem connected to what I want to get out of this site.
Please understand that talking about other things than cluster headaches does not negate anyone's suffering. I feel that chronic sufferers do have different needs and probably much more urgent needs than people like me who only have a month of them a year.
I think that there has to be room for all of us here; all of us suffer from real pain and all of us are looking for answers.
