Once I was in the doctor's waiting room when one was coming on. It was late in the cycle so the imitrex tablet ( 50 mg) were working (if I took it early enough). Anyway I took the tablet. 10 minutes later the nurse was taking my BP and pulse, both very high. She went to get the doctor immediately. 30 minutes later everything was fine. I'm not sure if it was due to the imitrex, although it doesn't go out of the body that fast, or the CH, or my usual panic when I may be getting a bad one. That time it was only in the 3 to 4 range. Usually I'm trying several medications along with the emotional roller coaster so it is hard to determine the causes. The times when the pressure is continuous I assume that my BP and HR stay high.
