Hi everyone,
Bryan and I made it back from our mini-vacation to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, and I am now back at the office after a whole week off! We had a great time on our vacation...made through the entire first and second days W/O A SINGLE HEADACHE!!!! He had one the first night and one the second night, but made it through the days pain-free! Well, the 3rd day (Monday) we took a boat from Cedar Point (an amusement park on Lake Erie BTW) to a small island called South Bass Island where we rented bicycles and rode around enjoying the sun and stopping at a bar now and then. Wouldn't you know it...Bam. Had to get off the bikes and sit under a tree for a while...Bryan was freaking out b/c he absolutely HATES being in public when he gets an attack. Fortunately, he managed somehow to keep it below screaming level and it only took an hour out of our day. But of course then my lovably pessimistic boyfriend forgot entirely about his 2 pain-free days and got really upset...but don't worry, I'm practicing what you all told me and I just left him be...later he told me he thought he was able to get that headache under control just by being pissed at it...interesting theory? Anyway, we made it back to Cedar Point that afternoon for a 2nd time...but standing in line for the Power Tower he got attacked again...oh, I felt so awful for him standing in that hot, crowded line of people! The headache went away before we got to the end of the line, though. Anyhoo, we rode many roller coasters and walked our butts off...and had a great time despite the nasty beast! Now it's back to the real world and Bryan's looking for health insurance. (With a little help from me.) He's told me that he's applied in the past and been denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions. I logged onto a site I'd heard about on the radio called ehealthinsurance.com and found several companies which claim coverage even for those w/pre-existing conditions...of course, we haven't finished the application yet, but I was wondering if any of you had heard of Celtic Healthplan of Illinois and if so what their reputation is. Also, if anyone has any ideas about getting around this problem of pre-existing conditions when dealing w/health insurance, feel free to e-mail me w/suggestions. Bryan and I both know that many more doors will open in terms of treatment for him if we can just get this health insurance problem out of the way! Thanks for listening!
Prayers,
Jen
