Hi all. Here's an interesting idea I thought I'd throw out at 'cha.
My wife,Barb, an excellent supporter who always asks "Is there anything I can do?" and then follows through, which usually means leaving me alone during the worst of it, and I have been going through the usual process of trying to figure out why this cluster is so different from any I've ever had, was it the heat, the humidity, the moon phase, my diet, stress, too much sex, not enough sex, our 15-year -old learning to drive, etc., etc, etc. Of course, as we all know, clusters will be clusters, and there is probably no one thing that "makes" this one different from all the others. It just is. But, Barb pointed out that one thing different this time is that I found this site...and as a result, I am talking CH, thinking CH, reading CH, empathizing, sympathizing, and in general spending more time with the whole subject than ever before. She wonders, and I have to say the thought is intriguing, if there may be some sort of suggestibility factor, akin to a husbands empathetic pregnancy symptoms going on here. I would certainly hate to think so, as this site has come to mean a lot to me, and I will never willingly admit that she may be right, but its food for thought. Especially since many of us here have said that this cluster is different from all others that we've had. Is it plausible that THINKING about these damn things can somehow affect the nature of them ??? Or do I just have too much idle time today, running from the shadows?
Best to all.
