I live with headaches. I never leave town - or even leave the house - without Excedrin, ExcedrinPM, Tylenol, TylenolPM, Motrin 800’s, and Fioricet.
However, I don’t include cluster pain as a “headache.” It’s a special pain unto itself that no one who hasn’t felt it can have the slightest understanding of. With me, the pain travels up and down the right side of my face from my eyeball to my teeth and lasts about seven hours. After the attack is over, I don’t just feel better. I feel really, really good. Sometimes, I just nod off from the grooviness of it all. I’ve never been able to understand how pain so indescribably excruciating, can, in my case, disappear in the blink of an eye and leave me feeling high as a kite, with no trace of pain or soreness of any kind left behind. It’s almost like I just imagined it.
