I do agree with you in principle, and I like your
general sentiment. However, in the 35 years that
I've had cluster headaches, I've never found a
doctor that is both knowledgeable and caring. No,
I take that back--there was one, about 20 years ago.
I have been misdiagnosed, given prescriptions
for wrong medications (that I was not supposed to be
given, because of low blood pressure), treated
with great rudeness, given grossly incorrect
information...have I left anything out? All this
from doctors that are supposed to be top in the field,
from the head of neurology at Scripps Clinic at the
time to a supposed leading expert of cluster headaches
who suffers from clusters himself.
So, with all this bad experience, it's difficult
not to occasionally feel the need to vent and
take these doctors to task for a job miserably
done.
