I read your comments on an above post about "not caring if my son got an "A", etc - he didn't by the way!), but this post just proves my point.
Carl was making a joke. He was answering a previous post about bloodletting (a common practice) back in the old days. But you probably wouldn't know that because you're only interested in "information" and not in getting to know the people on the board and what makes 'em tick. Sometimes making a wisecrack or joke (even if it is dark humor) can be as beneficial to a CH sufferer as the lastest medicines.
Carl is very humorous and a very good writer. Some of his dark humor has gotten me though some very bad times and I appreciate him for it. Lately we seem to have a new fad going - that of attacking anything that's said and taking it out of context.
This board has become an entended family to a lot of us - especially those who are chronic and not getting much support at home. But we don't want to talk about HAs all the time, so it's just natural that we start getting to know each other as persons not just fellow sufferers.
That said, I wish you pain free days ahead.
