Sorry to welcome you to our club. But you're in the right place.
I've been a sufferer for 28 years. Prednisone "conut down" pack are helpful in my experience, but I need other co-medications. Sansert worked well for me in the past but is a preventative.....it does no good once the attack breaks through. In the past, they gave me Tylenol with codeine to fight the pain.
however, this is the first cycle being treated with Prednisone count down and Imitrex. personally,Imitrex has been a life saver for me. it is the same chemical group as Sansert, but is to be used at the start of an attack. i take the Imitrex injection and oxygen at the start of an attack. i haven't had one attack so far this cycle that didn't abort within 10 minutes.....and usually within five minutes. The GREAT thing about Imitrex is it doesn't leave me dopey like the narcotics can have and actually aborts the attack.
Good luck and please keep in touch!
