Yes, they do switch sides and sometimes come on both sides at the same time. Yuck! If you are having the ice pick stabs, hate to say it but you are probably getting one. I just had to take an Imitrex for the same thing. Not getting any better but beginning to make me pace around and get extremely nervous.
