Diagnosed with CH a dozen yrs. ago, treated by a forward thinking Dr. who prescribed 'ergomar' (may be ergotomine today). The beast left me alone while taking the drug and eventually left town altogether, it even got to the point where I thought the episodes were done with. I was naive.
Two weeks ago (Aug.2) the pain returned with a vengeance, starting at 8:10 am every day for the 1st week. That Friday I was sent to the ER from work & have only gotten worse since.
Ergotomine and other drugs like it are no longer an option (recent heart problem), my new Primary Care Physician is talking possible Lithium treatment, but is reserving final decision until results of Neurologist visit are in.
Well, thats my whine...thank you for being here. I thought I might be alone with this monster.
