Thanks to all of your help, I had lots to discuss with my doctor this past Monday. His preference for CH prophylaxis is Verapamil, Sansert, Lithium, and Prednisone in that order. Since I've tried Verapamil with no success, and my Sansert has stopped being effective, he asked me to start with a low dose (200 mg/day) of Lithium and gradually increase it to 600 mg/day over a couple of weeks if needed. I took my first Lithium on Monday, and have not had a headache since Tuesday noon. That'll be 72 pain-free hours at lunchtime today, which I wouldn't trade for the world.
He also gave me a big load of samples of Imitrix, Zomig, and Migranal. I used a 2.5 mg Zomig Monday night, and again Tuesday morning -- experienced complete relief in about 30 minutes.
Thanks once again for all the input, you're a great group!
