yes, Mike's pain quickly builds in intensity as yours does and the faster he can attack it (i.e. with ice or O2), the quicker he can bring it down. The ones that don't respond quickly seem to stay at the high level on Kip's scale.
You're not alone, for sure. But you already knew that.
