I'm no doctor or expert either, but I would guess that the quickest printed form of medical info to change has to be the package inserts. We see it because we actually read that stuff. Doc's don't see it because they don't open the sample packs and because the drug company detailpeople must leave behind more literature than any human being can be expected to absorb. So, unless the detailperson actually TOLD the doc about the CH effectiveness of Imitrex, AND he/she was listening closely enough, AND he/she remembers that one little tidbit in the wealth of data/information he/she is exposed to, its up to US to point it out.
Again, i'm not sure, but I'd really doubt that the PDR is updated any more often than yearly and many docs might not even get a new copy that often.
BTW, the inserts in my most recent script for Imitrex tabs still states that the effectiveness of Imitrex on CH has not been studies or demonstrated.
