I believe that oxygen helped break my cycle last year. It was the shortest one I'd ever had (about 2 and 1/2 weeks) with the fewest number of headaches, too. I started out with 2-3 headaches every other night like I usually do and started using oxygen for the first time the second night they came. Unfortunately, in my daze I didn't use it fast enough and it didn't work. The next time (I re-read the directions while not under the influence of a headache) I used it correctly and in 10-15 minutes, no headache. The first night I had to use it 3 times but after that I only had one headache every couple ofnights.
I too felt sort of strange afterward but it was not as strange as I'd felt using cafergot in previous cycles!
I was not prepared to have the headaches go away so quickly (the previous year it had gone on at least 4 or 5 weeks.
Not being a scientist I can't be sure it was the oxygen but it was the only change I'd made in my routine.
