Lisa, I am a mother of three (ages 11, 10 and 2). I started getting these bastards right after my second child was born. I was just barely 20 at the time. I have a tremendously supportive family and over the years they have simply learned that when mommy has a headache, don't bother her. Luckily, I'm episodic. If I were chronic I don't know what I'd do. My husband is great about taking the kids away when the demon asks me for a dance, but sometimes, when he's not available, we have a little unscheduled nap. Once I was having a full-blown 10 and my husband, who is a captain in the army, was in Guam. I snuggled up to my newborn baby, put my head against his, and breathed in his scent. The smell and feel of him relaxed me so much that my headache went from a 10 to about a 4 in a matter of minutes. Weird, huh? Keep plugging. God doesn't give us anything we can't handle.
