Mom (Elaine) should have been a truck driver. Mom drove the whole way, I might have driven 40 miles in all, the rest of the 3000 miles she drove. Mom is tuff as nails.
I want to thank all of you for being so kind to us on the trip. Dave, Laurie, Todd, Kip, Judy, Cathy, Barbara, Steve, and DJ. What you all did for my mom was wonderful. She has a new out look on life now! Mom loves all the people on the board and is now holding on to another Dream. She is working on the convention for Aug. 2000.
Mom is not going to let the CH, nor the cancer get in her way of makeing another Dream come true. She wants all on the board to have the feeling she now has. The convention will be wonderful.
As mom said this trip was important for many reason. This trip made our family stronger. It made mom stronger. It made mom happy!!!!!
Mom slept only two to four hours a night on the trip and ate very little. Never once did I hear her complain. She said she was tired a couple of times but, she kept going. Mom is the best.
When we left DJs and headed home we were listening to a CD I had. I saw a tear run down moms face, I thought she was having a CH, but it was the song on the CD that made her cry. How can I help you say good bye by Patty Loveless. The tears were good tears. I also knew that mom knows this is here last trip. I will miss her!
A special thanks to moms two special friends Dave and DJ thanks for giving my mom a reason to fight, thanks for giving me my mom for a little longer. Her Dreams keep her going. The convention is her next Dream. I know she will be with us another years.
