Dang it, Elaine! It's 8 am on a Monday morning and here I am, sitting in my office with tears rolling down my face. Not tears of sadness, not tears of anger. Tears of love for one of the most special lady's I've ever had the priviledge and honor to meet.
When you told me about the cancer, my first instinct was to urge you to try any possible treatment. Then I thought about what we need when we get a clusterhead attack. When you told me about Buddy talking divorce, my first instinct was to urge you to try to work things out with him. Then I thought about what we need when we get a clusterhead attack. When the demon visited you at drummers, my first instinct was to hold you. Then I thought about what we need when we get a clusterhead attack.
You have taught me more about what it takes to be a supporter, more about what it takes to be a person, and more about what it takes to touch other's lives in the few short weeks I've known you than I ever learned in the 45 years that went before that.
Thank you again, my dear friend. May the lord hold you in his heart until the time, hopefully many, many years away, when He holds you in his arms.
love always,
T
