Ted3:
I, too, have sensed what you stated. That's part of my reason for a post awhile back about being "worthy" to visit the site or not. I have been very lucky and do not have any of the problem many seem to have. How could I help? And, I also interpreted who posts and the number of responses they received as you do/did. Because of this feeling, when I did post or respond, which was not very often, I did not get much feedback either. I took that as others looked at me as not knowing enough, not having the experiences to help and not giving the "correct" answers. So, I felt I was unworthy.....I felt because I am in remission, because I never had problems with doctors, ers, meds, insurance, etc., that I could not relieve anyone's pain or offer any assistance. Boy, did I discover I was wrong. "Someone", who I will leave nameless, convinced me that I was mistaken. However, I still see a hierarchy, but not in a negative way. There are still those people whose posts grab you and dozens of others and they get the many responses. There are those people who are involved with OUCH and the convention, and I feel that because of their involvement, should be part of the "hierarchy". I know they will disagree, as they have stated so to my face. However, I've decided that even if one person reads my post, and it helps them in the most minute way, it was definitely worth it. I have started posting much more over the past two months, even tho' I've been here since Feb.
Share your ideas, you experiences, your thoughts. Know that I will probably read them, as will the hierarcy and many others. And, if you've helped even one other person with your insights that you post, that is of great help to us all. Even if they don't respond. Remember, this isn't a "contest". We are not trying to see who gets the most responses! I love seeing all the new names and posts!!! In my opinion, it takes a lot of guts to post things!! Please, post, Ted3. I, a fellow ch-er, would love to hear more from you. Feel free to e-mail me.

Cathy
