I have been really excited reading about the relief
that Ritalin seems to be giving some folks. So, I went
and saw a doc (GP) in hopes of giving it a try.
When I suggested it, he dismissed me immediately and
said that there was no way that he could get this
application of Ritalin past the State Board.
Seems (from his account) that the stuff is addictive
and subject to abuse. As an alternative he prescribed
Lidocain (no help) and a strong antiinflammatory (may
have made things worse). Anyone out there have advice
for an alternative approach to getting a Ritalin trial?
I'm on day 16 of the current episode, with 6 c/h
yesterday. This thing is(as you are all well aware)
wearing me down, and I can't stand the thought of having
something out there that may give provide relief just
beyond my grasp!
