Claudette, everyone on here does have a right to state how they feel - even me. Just because I am stating how I feel, doesn't mean you should attack me and amke fun of me and call me "Saint Michael" and tell everyone you're sick of my postings.
I haven't been on this board very long, but I have noticed that an adundance of the coping strategies people suggest are "medicinal".
It is very important that newcomers, people desperate for relief and support don't get the idea that pills, nasal sprays, cocaine etc are the only alternatives.
We are people dealing with what could be life long chronic pain. The majority of the people addicted to prescribed drugs are people dealing with chronic pain.
Also, I'm not sure it's a great idea to become over-dependent on drugs when you are banging your head against the wall, thinking suicidal thoughts etc. In that state we'de maybe swallow a whole bottle of whatever we can get our hands on, if we think drugs are the primary solution.
There is a documented increase in suicide among cluster sufferers. We must assume that anyone coming onto this board may be suicidal and speak with moderation and intelligence when discussing any drug treatments. And you don't need to be a saint to know or post that!
