I have seen a couple of posts on the comparisons between clusters and migraines and the resulting sensitivity to light, sound and movement.
Here is my take on things.
When I get a cluster, I move around alot, am not sensitive to sound, however, I am extremely sensitive to pulsing light, like that of a slow timed florescent, or a breeze blowing the miniblinds with the sun shining through. Regular light does not bother me, and straight sunlight(so long as it ain't 100 degrees out) actually does some good - maybe it just improves my mood.
When I get a migraine, I want to stay still in a dark quiet room, pull the covers over my head and go to sleep. Light and sound bothers me tremendously as does movement.
I noticed with one of the last slight clusters I had, that my neck was EXTREMELY tight. A massage helped things quite a bit.....the question is, will my wife be able to pin me down to give me a massage during a 10? ?:o)
Have a great weekend.
