Hey gang,
I'll try to be brief. Woke up at 2:00am after just falling asleep with a 10 CH. Fell back to sleep, woke up At 3:30am freaking out, gasping for air. Could not catch my breath. Got real scared. Hyperventilated 2 hours straight before calling an ambulance. To make a long story short, A combination of the heat, an upper respiratory infection, smoking and stress caused my breathing to slow badly. Had to concentrate on breathing otherwise It would get very lazing and labored. They made me a pincushion for awhile, gave me a breathing treatment, and 2 prescripts: one for an inhaler to be used 4xday and another for prednisone (almost scared to try it again.) Great. Just got one prescript filled, now I have two more (not to mention the cost of the ambulance ride-a limo would be cheaper). It's like my mama always said - if it aint one thing, its another. Man, That kinda scared me, I don't mind saying. I have woke up like that before, but always been able to catch my breath.
Wednesday, I was On my way to my docs office in Granite City to pick up my medical records and BAM, my car died. Neato. I have a bunch of errands to run, and now no car. Super neato. Need my medrecs, as tuesday I called THE WHITE HOUSE and talked to someone and told them my story. I am sending all of my documentation to "The White House Office of Agency Liaison" and filing a complaint against the Social Security Adm. This Is where I need help : If you are on Disability for your CH's, please PLEASE send me an e-mail letter stating that you have CH, how long you have had CH, the intensity of the CH and how long you have been on disability for CH. I will send the in the packet to help show that this IS a disabling condition that has already been recognized as such. From what I gather, if this goes thru, I should have my SSI in two to six weeks, without having to hire a lawyer and wait several more months ( which I cannot do).
Thanks to Scott Lloyd and Claudette, got the Stadol spray (Scott got my prescript & Claudette sent a partial bottle). It is a minimal help (brings an 8 to a 6) but it is better than nothing. Thank you guys so much.
Just got home a little while ago and I'm tired. Please, if you are on SSI, e-mail me and help me prove to the powers that be this is a legitimatly disabling condition. Thanks for all of your help and prayers (Icovet every one of those.)
Hanging on, Carl D
