David Chalfant is describing me too, every word! I have always had trouble getting to sleep. I stay up late writing music until it is near morning and I am burnt out. Often, when I am trying to fall asleep, I get sudden adrenaline rushes at the exact moment I am falling asleep. Sometimes it can go on for an hour. I don't know if it is cluster/hypothalamus related, or just stress or anxiety though.
