My clusters hit after I go to sleep, normally, so there’s no warning. If I haven’t taken any meds that work (though I’ve had clusters since 1956, they weren’t diagnosed till 1986 and I didn’t find any med that worked till this year), after about even hours, the attack stops as suddenly as it started, just like that. After the attack ends, I don’t just feel better, I feel really GOOD! Sometimes, the feeling is so dynamite that I just nod off, like a junkie. Since I’ve been taking a medicine that works for me - Verapamil - I just feel ordinary, nothing special, one way or another, except for no cluster pain.
By the way, though I now live in Boston, I was born in Texas.
