You’re probably getting the jaw pain INSTEAD of the headache. We should say “cluster pain” instead of “cluster headadche.” I had my first cluster attack in 1956 and it actually was a headache. The attacks continued to be in the form of headaches until 1992. From 1992 until the present, the cluster attacks start with what feels like a bad (2 on the Kip scale) toothache or eyeache that lasts for about two months. Then the toothache/eyeache becomes a level 8-10 cluster attack that travels back and forth from my teeth up to my eye through the right side of my face and back down again, maybe once every five minutes, for about six hours. But, since 1991, I’ve never had a cluster attack that included an actual headache.
