What a powerful letter. I liked it so much I printed it out and plan to share it with my doctor. She will either agree with it or it might make her mad, either way, it will make her stop and think about how her own practice will treat patients presenting themselves with "Migraines or Cluster Sufferers" they both are bad and most importantly her the physician.
She said is willing to help me and learn all she can about CH since she is not my PCP. I agree with you. Go armed to the teeth with documentation. This web site has given me so much knowledge and I can't thank DJ enough or people like yourself.
We are an intelligent bunch of people and we should be believed and trusted when we share our symptoms, describing the stabbing severe pain with these doctors that,I MIGHT ADD,are charging us out the WAZOO for passing us off as weirdos with a drug problem just wanting pain medicine.
I for one am willing to try any non-narcotic form of preventive medicine and don't want to call and wake up a friend begging them to get out of a warm bed in the middle of the night to come take me crying & vomiting to an ER looking like HELL, demanding that they turn off the bright lights, hurry up and give me something to STOP THE PAIN - MAKE IT GO AWAY NOW!
Ashamed to ask for help many times.
