For what it's worth - I had eye surgery a while back and anesthesia didn't start a cycle. The doctor who operated knew about my CH and was worried that an operation in the same place I get my worst attacks would waken the Demon. He had Imitrex and oxygen ready just in case.
My worst cycle to date was broken by knocking me out for 16 hours. Not exactly anesthesia, but close to it. Attacks went down from 12's (my name for when you've surrendered completely, you're used up, finished, don't care if you kill yourself because there's nothing left of you anyway) to 5's. Two weeks later the cycle ended.
I was incredibly lucky.
People are different, react differently, that's made obvious by reading this site. My experiences may not apply to your case, but I hope to God it works out well for you!
