I too do not want to get use to having painkillers to make it through life.
Codiene did absolutely nothing for my CH
Demorol does, but that means a trip to ER or Doc Office. Talwin made me sicker than before with no relieve to CH, which meant another trip to ER and then they had to wait another 4 hours before they could give you the Demerol that they should have given you in the first place.
We use to keep Vistiral??spelling at my home when I was a child or early teen. My mother being a nurse would give me my injections. Phenegran helps me also. I am so violently nauseated I can't take anything by mouth and expect it to stay down. I believe I throw up so much because of the pain, not so much as an upset stomach. Doesn't anyone else get violently nauseated.
Stadol was a killer, paralyzed me in a state I never ever want to experience again.
Steroid injection of some kind is what they gave me in the ER on Dec 28 and I thought I would be back because I didn't think that would work, but it did after all.
You have to be very careful taking so many ibeprophens leads to bleds in stomach. We are just a sorry bunch of people with no intelligent doctors to help us find something that will kill the demon and not leave us drugged up afterwards.
Don't we have any doctors in our family of Clusterheads? They should know all the answers if they experience them. I used to work for an Internal Med doctor and he perscribed Inderal for me. He had Migraines too, however, that was before I was diagnosed with CH. He did not have Migraines when he took Inderal on a steady basis, however, it reduced his pulse so much he couldn't take it himself. That was a long time ago.
Inderal also reduces your sex drive, especially in men. All so much stuff to remember.....too much for me today. I can't think straight as it is. About to the end of my rope.
Don't mean to rattle, but I am new to this and I just am hungry for any information at all. Please help!
