Ringing in my ear (either one) is closely followed by tightening in my neck, then the CH hits. I use it as a warning and go for the Oxygen or eat a pill, unless I've just eaten in which case I'll snort an imitrex nasal spray.
However, if my preventive meds are working (like the prednisone is now), the ringing comes and goes at the same times of day but the CH doesn't come.
As you've seen in the other posts, we're all different. For me, ringing is a warning of impending CH, or else it is a notice that my cycle is still with me even though the preventive meds are working.
