Hi, Dame!

Welcome to our board. Sorry you have to be here, but this is the place to be to find out you're not alone and there's lots of help.

I haven't used nitrous, nor have I seen it in the literature anywhere as a treatment. That's not to say it doesn't work -- but as a former hospital safety officer, I must urge caution to everyone! Nitrous oxide might stop your cluster attack, but it might also stop your heart if it isn't used properly. The anesthesia machines they use in surgery are carefully calibrated to mix oxygen, medical air, nitrous, and perhaps another inhalation anesthetic. Very small slip-ups can lead to disasters very quickly. There's an old saying: "A surgeon has to really goof up badly to kill you in an OR, but an anesthesiologist can do it with an ill-timed sneeze."

I'd be interested to hear if others have used this method, either in a hospital / dental surgery setting, or with some other trained adminstrator.

Pain Free Days to ya, Dame!

Old Dave
