Do Chronics Ever Go Episodic?

Ever since I've known Bryan (almost 8 months)he's been chronic, and his headaches have been fairly unpredictable, in their occurrence I mean. In the past few weeks, I've noticed much more regularity in their appearance; for example, he seems to get one upon waking up, another one mid-morning, and then the afternoon/evening stays pretty calm. Then he seems to get a mid-range one (5-7)in the middle of the night. It's been going this way for several weeks now. What I'm wondering is if he could possibly be going into more of a cycle--a cycle that could end?!?! Episodic clusters are beginning to sound pretty good right about now! BTW, Margi suggested I buy Bryan some Dramamine so that he could at least get some sleep. Well, instead of the Dramamine I bought him something called Calms, which is an all natural sleep aid, OTC. He didn't want to take them ("They WON'T work!") but I just talked to him on the phone and he'd been sleeping since his morning headache ended at about 8:30 AM after taking 3 or 4 of those Calms. That's the longest stretch of sleep he's had in weeks! (About 6 hours). I'm excited. Of course, the Calms don't do anything for pain, but if they can help some of you get some sleep b/w headaches, I hope you'll try them!
