They do read the board, but don't comment a lot unless asked. There are several docs who are regulars.
But let's face facts. They can't make a diagnoses over the net and they can't scrip meds over the net. We've had some really good help about side-effects of meds from them and other things, but they have to be careful what they do say.
Right now, if they'll just read the board, I believe they'll get a better understanding of what we are going through with these things and maybe can treat patients a little better when they do see them.
Medical advice on this board does not take the place of "seeing" your doc and being accurately diagnosed and treated. My neuro does visit regularly and we discuss different treatments that have worked for others. If he misses anything, I bring him up to date when I see him.
Hang in here. Help is on the way. There are a lot of people doing research for OUCH and hopefully (probably within the year) we'll have info available to doctors and sufferers alike that will help us all.
