Good morning, (and I do mean good).
My regularly-appointed two-year cycle of CH (duration one month) is in its last week. The nighttime attacks are still coming, but they're limited to nasty cold sweats, runny nose, tearing eye, and a relatively wimpy H/A. One of those you smirk at. ("Hah! Beat you again! Life goes on!")
One thing I'll take away from this one, though--a little education from this web site. I found the input from physicians here particularly encouraging and noteworthy. Consequently, I've re-evaluated my decision made long ago to eschew treatment (partly out of frustration with Dr's who didn't seem to know what to do, and didn't seem particularly to care--nonlethal condition, you know.....So I've made my first appointment with a neurologist in twenty years, so that I can discuss treatment options for the NEXT go around. Many thanks.
Hm. As far as research on CH goes, it occurs to me that it's surprising that the MILITARY hasn't looked into them. After all, if one could induce a condition in an opponent that was disabling, disorienting, and non-lethal.....
Now THERE'S a nasty thought to leave you with. (Joking, joking....sorry.)
Again thanks, and my best to all of you. George O. Jacox
