Annie...

I have used both Cafergot pills and suppositories. The suppositories work fastest (half the time for relief for me.)

I have not experienced any problems with the pills regarding nausea and vomiting, altho I now do not now take them (quicker is better!)

As for the suppositories, they need to be refrigerated (what a late night thrill that is) and they come in one strength. I have found that I need to use only about two-thirds of the suppository to get relief and that a "full load" can cause me wrist and ankle pain along with some pain in my legs (first time I thought I might have OD'ed or was having a heart attach...off to emergency.)

Too, I have noted that any dehydration increases any pain in my extremeties. Hence the use of only 2/3. So keep hydrated.

Cafergot has been my savior as of late and in 25 years I have used about all the "possible" drugs for relief.
