I usually tell people comparing a Cluster to a headache (even a migraine) is like comparing a goldfish to a shark. Yes they both swim in water, but that's where the similarity ends. Clusters are the sharks!
They appear without notice and strike with deadly force. Sometimes they come alone, sometimes in pairs and sometimes in schools. There's a lot more similarities to the shark, but I won't get gruesome here.
There's really no way to let anyone know how bad they really are unless they experience them for themselves.
