I've had CH attacks twice a year since the age of 16
I'm 28 now.
I got my last cluster over Christmas through to the
end of January. Normally I avoid alchohol during
clusters as it always triggers a headache... but
this was the first time I'd has a cluster in the
festive season and stupidly I was determined not to
let the headaches spoil it.
On the 27th I tried drinking, and the attack started
on my second beer. I managed to force a third beer
down then a quadruple whiskey.
That was almost the worst mistake of my life.
If your doctor believes that alchohol helps prevent
clusters then he probably thinks that asbestos in
larger doses prevents cancer!
Don't believe him!
