When I had my first cluster episode, back in 1956 (yep, it’s been 43 years), I stayed in bed because I didn’t know what else to do. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before and I didn’t know whether to shit or go blind. I just had no clue. Of course, nowadays, I’m out of bed in a flash. There’s just no way that I can lie down during a cluster attack. My thing is to sit on the edge of my chair, rocking back and forth, groaning and trying not to scream except when The Demon takes his fishhook out and uses it to try to rip my eye out of its socket.
