As they face this operation, gracious Father in Christ, we come to You with our fears and misgivings and ask You to put in Glenn and Patty's heart the needed courage to face the day with confidence because of Your goodness and protection. you do not clumber nor sleep while we are in a deep sleep. let this be an assurance to us that we need not worry or be afraid. Relax their nerves, put their mind at ease, and graciously forgive them of all their sins. Give the surgeon a steady hand and the necessary understanding to do his (her) task with ease and perfection. Give their family the reassuring faith that You are with them, the Keeper of their body and the Lover of their soul. Calm their troubled spirt during the coming hours of Patty's operation. In Your precious hands they put their well-being for time and eternity. This I ask in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
